Summary:
The Lab Assistants I & II accession patient sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), accurately according to received requisitions.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
Review all information is accurate and meets company standards.
Accepts deliveries from couriers.
Accession patient sample information and physician test orders according to requisitions, accurately.
Provide oversight of orders on requisitions on pre-accessioned samples.
Identify missing information and execute proper route when missing information is identified.
Provide oversight of physician/patient information required by HIPPA/CLIA/CAP and overall best practices.
Scan patient requisitions for medical records.
Maintain an error rate below.
15% with a goal of zero errors per month.
Qualifications:
Education - High School diploma or equivalent.
Competencies/Skills - Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentially of all medical, financial, and legal information.
Ability to work independently Good oral communication skills Experience - 6 months experience working in a laboratory environment Experience working with MS Office Suite, required.
2 years HealthTrackRx experience needed for advancement to Lab Assistant II Certifications/Licenses - N/A.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
